| What's involved in having a successful auction? 1.) The pursuit of having a successful auction begins with an analysis of what is being sold. Whether it is real estate or personal property, an on-site evaluation should be made by a professional auctioneer. Once the property is viewed, suggestions pertaining to an auction, its methods and a site will be discussed. 2.) If an auction is deemed advisable, an explanation of the total process, including applicable fees, will be made. Commission rates will differ between real estate and personal property. Potential costs such as set-up and clean-up expenses, tent or portable toilet rental (as necessary) will also be defined. A proposed advertising schedule can be developed with approximate costs. |
3.) The experienced Kersey auction team can handle all of the hard work necessary to prepare for the auction. Tables, trailers, and farm wagons are furnished at no charge. A licensed food service trailer is available to provide refreshments at no cost to the seller. 4.) All of our auctioneers are experienced and fully committed to conducting auctions with a professional touch. Proper advertsing in the appropriate media is a must. Correct identification of the items offered for sale is critical. Competition for today's consumer purchase dollars is keen -- the opportunity for a second chance is not possible! 5.) Our team of auctioneers, clerks, cashiers, and support staff are prepared to organize and sell all forms of real estate and personal property in a prompt and courteous fashion. |
6.) Collection and disbursement of auction proceeds is handled in an expedient manner. There will be a full accounting of all auction expenses with all bills associated with the sale paid promptly. The seller enjoys the benefit of a net proceeds check within a few weeks. 7. Gary Kersey is a life-long resident of southwestern Ohio. His knowledge of his community is an asset -- as is his past presidency of the prestigious Ohio Auctioneers Association. Such a distinction demonstrates his personal reputation in the State's auction profession. Trust and experience create a powerful business team.
